Privacy Policy
Virtual Life is a life-simulation game you play on the web or as a mobile app, and it can pay you real money for completing gigs. This page says exactly what we keep about you, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to change.
The short version
- • We keep your email, your character, your game progress, and your money records.
- • We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run advertising trackers on the website.
- • Other players can see your character's name, city, country and level — not your email or your balances.
- • Your chat messages are visible only to you and the person you are chatting with.
- • Your ID document is stored privately and read only by you and the game admins.
- • To see, correct or delete your data, email us at privacy@onellsittech.com.
- • You can delete your whole account yourself on the delete account page.
1.Who is responsible for your data
Virtual Life is operated by Onells IT Tech ("we", "us"). This policy covers the game at virtual-life.lovable.app and the Virtual Life mobile app built from it. It does not cover other websites or apps you reach from ours.
2.What we collect
When you make an account
- • Your email address, and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your password if you sign up with email.
- • If you sign in with Google: the name, email address and photo Google passes to us.
- • The date your account first created a character, so returning players are recognised.
When you create and play a character
- • Your character's first and last name, gender, skin tone, hair, outfit and short bio.
- • Your home city and country, your level, experience and reputation.
- • Your game progress: in-game cash (VL₦), items, homes, businesses, vehicles, family and relationships, jobs and shifts worked, savings, loans, lottery tickets and market holdings.
- • Which workplace you are standing in, so other players can find you around the city.
When money is involved
- • Your real-money balance and every credit or debit on it, in kobo.
- • Your in-game (VL₦) balance and its ledger of credits and debits.
- • Gig records: the title and details of the job, the work you send in as proof, and the outcome.
- • Payment records: Paystack references, amounts paid, and deposit confirmations.
- • For withdrawals: your bank name, bank code, account number and account name.
- • Your transfer PIN, stored as a one-way hash so nobody can read it back as text.
When you verify your identity
- • Your full legal name, date of birth, the type of ID you used, and a photo of that ID document.
- • The result of the check, and any reason it was rejected.
When you use the phone and ads
- • A push-notification token for your device, so we can send you game reminders.
- • A record of which rewarded ads you have claimed, so the daily limit can be enforced.
3.What other players can see
Every signed-in player can view a public profile for every character: name, city, country, level and appearance. That is how the world feels populated.
They cannot see your email address, your password, your real-money balance, your bank details, your ID document, or your chats. Messages are readable only by the two people in the conversation. If you stand for a city election, your name and campaign pitch are public; who you voted for is not — only the totals are published.
4.Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We do pass information to the services below, because the game cannot run without them:
| Service | What it gets, and why |
|---|---|
| Lovable (hosting) | Runs the website, the database and the sign-in system, so it processes the data described in section 2. |
| Paystack | Your email, the amount and a reference when you deposit; your bank name, bank code, account number and account name when you withdraw. They move the actual money. |
| Google Sign-In | If you use it, Google confirms who you are and sends us your name, email and photo. |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging | Your device's notification token, so game reminders can reach your phone. |
| Google AdMob | In the mobile app only: an advertising identifier, so a rewarded ad can be chosen and shown. Google's own privacy policy applies to how they use it. |
| WebToNative | The wrapper that turns this website into your Android app. It connects the app to ads, notifications and Google sign-in. |
| Google Fonts | When any page loads, your browser asks Google for the fonts, so Google sees that request and your IP address. |
We also disclose data if we have to — for example to Paystack or a bank to investigate a payment problem you reported, or where the law requires it.
5.Where your data lives and how long we keep it
Your data is stored in the cloud on servers operated for us by our hosting provider, which may be outside your own country. We keep it while your account is open. When you ask us to close your account, we delete your character, your profiles, your chats, your notification tokens and your ID document.
Payment and withdrawal records are kept longer where financial rules require it, because we have to be able to answer questions about money that actually moved.
6.How we protect it
- • Everything travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
- • The database is locked down per row: a signed-in player can read and change only their own rows, and chats only where they are one of the two people involved.
- • Money balances are changed only by server-side checks, not by the app on your device, so a player cannot type in a bigger balance or turn in-game cash into real cash.
- • ID documents sit in a private storage area that is not open to the public; only you and the game admins can open your file.
- • Transfer PINs are stored as one-way hashes, and repeated wrong guesses lock the PIN for a time.
No method of storage is perfect. If you think something has gone wrong with your account, email us straight away.
7.Children
Virtual Life is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. The money side of the game — deposits, gigs and withdrawals — needs an identity document and a bank account in your own name, which means you must be an adult in your country to use it.
8.Your choices
- • See or correct your data: open the Bank, Profile and Identity screens in the game, or email us.
- • Delete your data: sign out and email us; we will close the account and remove the records.
- • Stop notifications: turn them off for the app in your device settings, and the token is removed.
- • Ads: you can reset or limit the advertising identifier in your device settings; the in-game ad reward is optional and limited to five a day.
- • Stop using Google sign-in: you can switch to email and password at any time.
9.If this policy changes
If we change it, we update the date at the top of this page, and we will tell players in the game before a change that matters to them takes effect.
10.Contact
For anything about your privacy — a copy of your data, a correction, a deletion, or a complaint — email privacy@onellsittech.com. We answer privacy requests within 30 days.
This policy explains how Virtual Life handles your information. It is not legal advice, and it does not change the terms of any service listed above.
